Congham Hall, a late Georgian manor house, was built in approximately 1780 by a wealthy King's Lynn merchant. Up until its purchase in 1982, it was still a private family house.

The hall remains an elegant and graceful setting, enhancing the classic interiors and promoting a restful and relaxed atmosphere. Many of the architectural features of this period remain unaltered, for example, the main staircase, portico and oriel windows.

The hall is set in thirty acres of parkland, lawns and renowned herb garden as well as having a tennis court, putting green and access to the adjacent village cricket ground with its thatched pavilion.

At the time of the conversion from private house to hotel, very little alteration to the main structure was necessary, the only additions being bathrooms and the restaurant. During 1989 three new bedrooms were added to give fourteen bedrooms in total, it was also around this time that the restaurant was extended from thirty to fifty covers, by the addition of the 'Orangery'.

Although the sizes of the bedrooms differ because of the style of the house they are all furnished to a high standard with luxurious linens, fine antiques and paintings. The lounge and bar both offer peace and relaxation with open log fires to warm and comfort in winter and views of the gardens in summer.
