Places to visit
There are some great places for families to visit, all within easy reach of Congham. Children love to explore the North Norfolk beaches, crabbing is particularly popular in Wells. Here are some family favourites and activity for this half term.
Norfolk’s Best Large Attraction of 2015 is Pensthorpe Natural Park (18 miles from Congham) and this Half Term they will offering children of all ages a chance to “Bee a Nature Explorer.” Buzzing around on a self-guided trail, building a den in Wildrootz and make a your feathered friends a bird feeder to take away with you. Viking festival at Sheringham on 13th & 14th February
Puddle jumping Championships at the Welney Wetland Centre available everyday day through half term from 10am – Competition starts at 1pm with prize giving at 2.30 http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/welney/
BeWILDerwood (47 miles from Congham). A huge, award winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure! BeWILDerwood is a wild and imaginative adventure park with magical treehouses. Lots to see and explore, well worth a visit for a family day out.
Extreeme Adventure (9 miles). A brilliant high ropes course built in the tallest trees in Eastern England offering hours of adrenaline rushing fun for children aged 10 and over (there is a crèche for younger ones).
Dinosaur Adventure (35 miles). A great day out, even for the Parentsasarus! A dinosaur trail, Raptor Races, Deer safari, Dinomite indoor and outdoor play areas.
